According to a new Unicef report at least one in every three children under five years of age is undernourished or overweight.
The Unicef also said “poor diets are now the main risk factor for the global burden of disease.”
The poor diet has the risk of poor brain development, learning problems, poor immunity and increased infections and disease.
Unicef Executive Director Henrietta Fore said, “Millions of children subsist on an unhealthy diet because they simply do not have a better choice.”
The report also spoke about the three concerns: under-nutrition, hidden-hunger and overweight.
Most children that were affected were found to be from the parts of Asia.
