People all over the world feel good about positive body language. In this context, the little communication that you have — whether interacting with new boss or going for a client deal — is important.
With the use of technology going on and forever, we, humans tend to neglect these basic communication rules in order to establish a positive connection with people around.
It’s high time we revise those basics.
- Greet: Greeting a person show that you are in a positive frame of mind and gives an indication of your active presence. With the other person wishing back to your greeting, chances are higher of building a positive communication between both of you.
- Ask to discover: No one knows everything. The world runs with collaboration with the best of the minds. As such, never hesitate to ask what you don’t know. A genuine query is usually appreciated by the other person.
- Little Compliments matter: A small word of appreciation and you feel delighted. It’s common with the human nature to react positively to the compliment given. Hence, at times, feel the need to complement someone if you really feel that the work is great.
- Listen and listen: As the saying goes, humans have 2 ears but one mouth to remind us that one should listen more than hurry to burst out. In case of any differences at career place, remember to listen more. It helps develop compassion and understand other points of view.
