The admit card for the post of Station Controller cum Train Operator (SCTO) was released by the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) on Monday, 9th April, 2018 at 6:00 pm. It was released on the official website:lmrcl.com. Candidates may access it online and download their admit card using their respective user IDs and date of birth.
It was reported that the LMRC exam for the SCTO will be conducted on 16th April, 2018. Examinations for the other posts would thereby be carried out on May 6 and May 13, 2018. Announcements were made regarding the recruitment of 386 executive and non-executive posts, by the LMRC. The entire process took off with registrations beginning from 23rd February, 2018 and will be going on until 27th March, 2018. The applications were announced for graduates, postgraduates, diploma holders, members of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and ITI candidates, lying within the age group of 18 to 28.
The educational requirements for applying were given as follows. Candidates with higher qualifications in respective disciplines could also apply (for Junior Engineer posts). For the position of Maintainer viz, NE-09, NE-10 & NE-11, candidates must have done ITI in specified, below-mentioned trades. Candidates having higher qualification viz B.E./B.Tech/Diploma etc. but not having ITI in specific trades would not be considered eligible for the posts of Maintainer from Post Code NE-09, NE10 & NE 11.
Candidates also have the freedom to apply for more than one post as per their qualifications. They should, however, be aware that the written test for two posts may be held on one or more days at different cities (centres). The applicant must keep the combination thus chosen in mind. Separate application fees for each post would have to be paid.
Among other centres, the examination will be organized in Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Allahabad, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Jhansi, Bareilly, Gautam Buddha Nagar(Noida), Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Moradabad and Muzaffarnagar. Candidates are required to carry a valid photo ID proof along with their admit card on the day of the examination, for verification purposes.
After their selection in the written examination, candidates would have to undergo the rest of the selection process which includes a Psycho Aptitude Test, document verification, LTI verification and a medical examination at Lucknow.
The chosen candidates will be put on a probation period for two years, during which time one undergoes intensive training. The training period leads on to the posting of individuals to Lucknow or to any of the several cities of Uttar Pradesh.
