Ad hoc teachers, who are working in government degree, autonomous, model degree and junior colleges across the Bhubaneswar urged the education minister not to terminate their services.
The Higher-Ed dept has issued an order to terminate the services of these college teachers from May 31, 2020.
In response, the ad hod teachers issued memorandum where they said the govt had adopted the UGC guidelines and selection of the teachers. They were selected through proper procedure where most of the teachers have completed their PhD and post doctoral degrees.
One of the ad-hoc teacher said in a statement , “State govt had earlier regularised the services of different contractual employees. The department has qualified teachers along with the experience. Hence, the govt should allow us to continue.”
