Out of all the corners, especially the USA has been deploying a lot of foreign students in their universities. Nevertheless, the States has also stood as one of the most favourite places for students to pursue higher education.
According to the 2018 Open Doors Report on International Student Exchange, the number of Indian Students in the US has doubled since 2012-13. Looking at the latest stats, there were 1,96,271 Indian students in States, an increase of 5.4 per cent from the last year.

Basics of Application:
The curriculum of States is divided in the form of semesters. There are 4 periods of admission when students can join the university. These are spring (January/February), Fall (August/September), summer (April/May), and winter (December). A large number of universities have the intake in Fall Semester, while many are in Spring.
The eligibility criterion is stringent owing to thousands of applications received from all over the world. It is usually suggested to start the application process at least a year in advance.
