Private sector skills education major AISECT will set up its 4th university at Vaishali in Bihar and it will be named after renowned scientist C V Raman.
A meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recently gave approval to the AISECT to set up its university at Vaishali, the birth place of Lord Mahaveer, the institute said.
The proposed university will be named after Raman, a Nobel Prize-winning physicist, an officer of the AISECT’s public relations department said here today.
The university, which will commence its first session from July 2018, will offer courses in engineering, management, education and agriculture, he said.
“It will also help in developing education sector in Bihar and also brain drain from that state,” the official said.
AISECT Chairman Santosh Choube said that the education group is working for the development of education and technology, especially in the Hindi-speaking states.
They have already established universities in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand and now the fourth one is coming up in Bihar, he added.
