Around 496 medical officers’ posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (ITBP, BSF, CRPF, SSB and Assam Rifles) has been advertised by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). From April 2, 2019, onwards the online application process will begin. According to the official notification, May 1, 2019, will be the last date to apply.
The eligible and interested candidates can check in the official website recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. On the basis of the interview, the candidates will be selected. Around 496 posts are vacant and the details are:
- Around 175 posts for Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant)
- Around 317 posts for Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant)
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS) or equivalent from a recognized university or institute recognized as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, for the post of super specialist medical officers.
For SSMO posts the age of the aspirant is capped at 50 years. For SMO and MO, the upper age limit is 40 and 30 years respectively. Age relaxation is also given to reserved category candidates.
