The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Prelims 2025. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online from 28 March to 29 April 2025 via apsc.nic.in. The last date to pay the examination fee is 1 May 2025, by 5 PM.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Indian citizens aged between 21 and 38 years as of 1 January 2024. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree and be proficient in Assamese or other recognised languages of Assam. Additionally, candidates must be registered with a district employment office and be permanent residents of Assam.
Application Fees
– ₹297.20 – General (including ex-servicemen)
– ₹197.20 – SC, ST, BPL, PwBD, Women, and respective category ex-servicemen
Exam Structure
The CCE 2025 comprises two phases:
Preliminary Examination
– Objective Type
– Two Papers: General Studies Paper 1 & Paper 2 (200 marks each)
– Negative Marking: Deduction for incorrect answers
– Exam Centres: Conducted across Assam, including Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, and Tezpur
Main Examination
– Held exclusively in Guwahati
– Dates to be announced later
