Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET-2018) will be conducted this year on July 1. This test is conducted by The Andhra University for the recruitment and promotions of lecturers and assistant professors in degree colleges according to the norms of University Grant Commission (UGC).
A release by AU states that eligible candidates may apply for their applications through apset.net.in. The registration fee for general category is Rs.1000, for the backward category, it is Rs 800 and Rs 500 for SC/ST/PH/VH categories. One can pay by credit card, debit card, and net banking.
The examination will be conducted at six regional centers namely Visakhapatnam, Nellore, Anantapur, Rajamahendravaram, Guntur, and Tirupati. The question paper-I, common for all candidates appearing APSET, will be bilingual (English and Telugu). Paper-II will be for subjects History, Political Science, Public Administration, Commerce, Economics, Education, Sociology and Social Work will be bilingual.
Remaining papers will be in English. The APSET-2017 examination was held in 31 subjects and the same pattern will be followed this year. Online application for the exam will begin on March 26, and the last day for the submission of applications is May 2.
