Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and the Indian Institute of Technology-BHU (IIT-BHU) have signed three MoUs to collaborate by sharing laboratory and library resources. This partnership aims to enhance joint research efforts and promote future collaborative research projects. The MoUs were signed by BHU Registrar Prof. Arun Kumar Singh, and IIT-BHU Registrar Shri Rajan Srivastava, at Swatantrata Bhawan.
BHU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain, expressed that this collaboration could help both institutes gain global recognition. He emphasised that working in isolation limits progress, and therefore, educational institutions should come together to explore mutual growth opportunities.
The Vice-Chancellor further highlighted the importance of universities fostering a positive work culture and governance while addressing aspirations. Prof. Jain emphasised that education should inspire purpose and motivation, with institutions equipping students with the tools and skills needed to succeed. He offered key advice for engineering students to achieve long-term success: cultivate a positive mindset, be sincere, embrace teamwork, manage time efficiently, and develop essential life skills.
The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain and Director, IIT-BHU, Prof. Amit Patra exchanged the agreements while the signing of the MoUs. The event was attended by students, faculty members, and other dignitaries.
