The portal aims to keep students, faculty, and the public informed about all significant developments at BHU. It features dedicated sections on news, achievements, patents, projects, student activities, and a video gallery, offering a comprehensive view of the university’s dynamic environment.
A Platform for Transparency and Engagement
Formally inaugurated on campus, the portal was launched by Professor Rakesh Raman, Coordinator of the Computer Centre, in the presence of Professor Rajesh Kumar (Deputy Coordinator), Naveen Chaubey (System Manager), Professor Anurag Dave (Head of External Communication), and Dr. Rajesh Singh (Public Relations Officer). Several faculty members, SRK interns from the External Communication department, and university staff also attended the event.
Speaking at the launch, Professor Raman described the website as a powerful tool to enhance BHU’s public outreach and institutional image. He recommended integrating the portal with BHU’s mobile app, Namaste BHU, to further extend its reach.
Professor Dave highlighted the portal as an effective means to communicate the wide range of opportunities BHU offers to its students and faculty. He also acknowledged the contributions of the SRK interns who helped conceptualize and execute the project.
System Manager Naveen Chaubey noted that additional features would soon be added to make the platform even more beneficial for stakeholders. Assistant PRO Chander Shekher Gwari emphasized the portal’s role as a “one-stop destination” for all major university updates.
Strengthening BHU’s Digital Presence
The launch comes at a time when BHU is taking on expanded responsibilities in the academic ecosystem. The university was recently appointed as the national coordinator for Institutions of National Importance (INIs) on the SWAYAM platform. In this role, BHU will oversee online course delivery from over 160 top institutions, including central universities and IITs.
With this new digital initiative, BHU reinforces its commitment to transparency, accessibility, and continuous innovation in higher education.
