- 2022 could be the first year to prove the coexistence of the online and offline education
The blended mode of learning is cementing itself as an effective and efficient method of learning. When the flexibility and safety of learning from home converge with the benefits of hands-on interactions with educators, the proposition emerges to be a game-changer for the entire ecosystem. The offline mode of education has always existed and is also adopted unanimously across the globe but the pandemic helped the industry to recognize and acknowledge the potential of the online mode of education. The pace at which the perennial gaps that have plagued the system are addressed and solved by the introduction of online education is unparalleled. The education ecosystem is pivoting towards a blended model of education that has the potential to eradicate most of the social, economic, demographic and geographic challenges of the system.
Emphasising the importance of Blended education, Rohit Gajbhiye, Founder and CEO, Financepeer, India’s leading edu-fintech company, addressed the India Education Congress 2022 organized by The Franchise India in Chandigarh. He expressed his views in the session, “Opening Industry, Access, Connectivity, and Opportunities for students which was attended by education industry stalwarts, bureaucrats, and policymakers. During the event, he voiced that the year 2022 will be the defining year for stamping the benefits of coexistence of the online and offline education
In his address during the event, Mr. Rohit Gajbhiye, Founder & CEO, Financepeer said, “The accessibility to digital education is a key factor for the digital transformation of the education sector. It is governed by two important factors; Finance and digital adoption. The edtech sector also existed in the pre-Covid era however education was more physically driven. Face-to-face education dominated the space. The advent of Covid-19 exponentially increased the digital adaptability of education. Not only did the institutions adopt the digital mode of education but also the students were quick to habituate to this new mode of education. This has further facilitated the edu-fintech companies to reach out to the institutions and encourage them to adopt the digital mode of education”.
However, as the pandemic is receding, the physical mode of education is making a strong comeback. The experience in the past two years has made people realize the importance of both modes of education. While classroom education is important to develop the soft skills and EQ in the students, the digital mode is necessary to speed up the learning process. A blended form of education is the way forward to maximize the learning experience for the students. Blended education is the right approach for the all-around development of the non-linear format of education. This year could be the first year to prove the coexistence and harmony between the offline and online modes of education” Mr Gajbhiye added.
