Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad, has announced the schedule for the B.Ed. (ODL) Admission Entrance Test for the academic year 2024-25. The notification for the test was issued on December 2, 2024, and the online application process has already begun.
Interested candidates must submit their applications online at the official BRAOU portal, www.braouonline.in, by December 21, 2024. For those submitting their forms after this date but before December 25, 2024, a late fee of Rs. 500 will apply. Candidates can download their hall tickets from the university website by December 28, 2024. The entrance test is scheduled for December 31, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
The B.Ed. (ODL) program, designed for in-service teachers, requires candidates to have completed a NCTE-recognized teacher education program and possess at least 50% marks in their undergraduate degree (40% for SC/ST/PWD candidates). Those with a B.E./B.Tech. degree must have studied Science/Mathematics as a subject. The entrance test will consist of three parts: General English Comprehension, Proficiency in Telugu, and General Mental Ability.
Candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories can avail of a reduced registration fee of Rs. 750. The total tuition fee for the two-year program is Rs. 40,000, payable at the time of admission.
