As the number of applicants in Patna, Muzaffarpur and Guwahati has reached beyond the capacity for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test the Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to include more examination cities in Assam and Bihar. For the CTET 2019, the new cities included in Assam where the exam would be held are Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Jorhat and Silchar. The new cities included in Bihar where the exam would be held are Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Vaishali. These changes have been made according to the notification.
By March 14 the online application process of the CTET has been closed. As referred in the official notification the candidates can choose or change their examination cities as per their convenience. The candidates may choose any three (3) examination cities in their preferential order.
In the online window to make corrections for the CBSE Central Teacher Eligibility Test, the application process has started from Monday, March 25, and will be closed by April 1, 2019. The CTET exam will be held on July 7, 2019, and the CBSE is conducting this exam. In 20 languages this exam will be conducted in 97 cities across the country.
The candidates qualifying the exam will be eligible to take up job in government schools.
