B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology has set up a new ‘Centre for Continuing Education’ in its campus. The centre was formally inaugurated by Prof (Dr) L K Awasthi, Director, NIT in the presence of a large gathering comprising of faculty members, representatives from the industry organizations, professionals and students. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Awasthi shared that the Centre has been set up to forge new relationships and interactions by engaging government agencies, national and international academic institutions, NGOs, industries, and individuals with the aim of helping them to constantly upgrade their knowledge & skills and to play a greater role in the industrial and economic progress of the nation.
The inaugural session was followed by a workshop on the topic ‘Understanding the Start-Up Ecosystem- Opportunities & Challenges’ was organized by Brainfeed Higher Education Plus. The keynote speakers were Mr Vinod K Pandita, international business consultant & Commander V K Jaitly, a business coach and a motivational speaker. More than 200 students, faculty members & young professionals, attended the session.
The workshop focuses on developing certain entrepreneur skills and remains agile and flexible in the world full of innovative disruptions. The eminent persons representing the industry included Ashwani Kumar, Chairman, FIEO (Northern Region) & MD, Victor Tools, Ahsanul Haq, President, JMA, Vishal Sharma, Secretary-General, JMA, Sanjeev Juneja, Ex-Convener, PHDCCI (Jalandhar Chapter) amongst others.
