The Foundation Department at ARCH College of Design & Business initiated a CLEANLINESS DRIVE on 21st Feburary’22 to create awareness about the importance of a clean environment for all.
As torchbearers of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, the students collected old buckets, brooms, garbage bags, masks and other cleaning equipment for the purpose of the drive. Under the guidance of faculty members, the students cleaned up the streets around the campus, collected the garbage disposed of on the roads, spoke with the community about not disposing of garbage around the colonies and emphasised the importance of cleanliness.
The Cleanliness Drive was a prelude to the first-ever Environmentally Sustainable Fest- ECOBUZZ, to be held with the Pink City Design Confluence’22 being organised & hosted by ARCH College of Design & Business from 12th-16th March ‘22.
ECOBUZZ is going to be a fun affair as students in collaboration with sustainable brands and local craftsmen are setting up sales stalls; pottery, origami, block-print, lac bangles and handmade paper workshops. There shall be performances by Music Bands and other fun activities such as on-spot games, giveaways, books exchange, Vegan food counters, kindness wall etc. Environment Specialists shall also be invited to talk about steps towards a sustainable life.
Next in line is the AWARENESS WALK to be conducted by the students on 3rd March’22, wherein the students are going to create awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
