The College Board which organizes SAT examination for undergraduate programmes in various universities today announced formally the launch of India Global Higher Education Alliance during the two-day ‘India Global Higher Education Alliance Symposium’ at India Habitat Centre.
Indian higher education has done a tremendous job of meeting the requirements of higher education arena. The College Board is enthusiastic for Indian universities in their quest to refine education system and bring structural reforms in it. This will also assist senior secondary students while accessing the preparation material and to be ready for the rigours of the exam.
Linda Liu, Vice President International, College Board reclaimed, “While the College Board has delivered the SAT and Advanced Placement in India for decades, the time is right for us to work closely with innovating universities in India to provide more access to underserved populations, rethink admissions in an Indian context, and ensure India’s leading universities continue to shine on the world stage.”
The founding members of this alliance have taken innovative steps related to admissions and enrolment of students at their universities to make reforms in the quality of Indian higher education. Another challenge for them was to attract diverse groups of students from their home countries, along with increasing global recruitment. The goal of this alliance is to provide learning of best practices shared by the affiliate members and adopt those practices in the Indian higher education arena.
