All premier institutes like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) should share their expertise and best practices with other educational institutions in their region, the Vice President said.
Basic courses in computing and data sciences should be compulsory for students in all varied disciplines, Vice-President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu added. “Innovation and collaboration should be embedded into the very DNA of all higher education institutions. I call upon educational institutions, researchers and developers to strive and come out with practical solutions of artificial intelligence in the fields of agriculture, health, science, governance and education,” Mr. Naidu said.
