Two-day job fair initiated by the Delhi Government has begun from Thursday at Thyagraj Stadium. Officials said, as many as 100 companies are expected to participate in the job fair. Job vacancies for the age group between 18 to 40, from class 10 pass to MBA graduates were available.
On Thursday, 500 ground staff vacancies for class 12 pass outs were being offered at GI Aviation Services counter. However, sales and marketing sectors had highest job offers.
Gopal Rai, the Employment Minister has told that aspiring candidates can register themselves with the government’s job portal. One can select companies as per their educational qualifications.
Officials said, “The two-day job fair will be organized from February 15 to February 16. In the fair, around 15,237 job offers will be available.” In December 2015, the first job fair was organized, while the second one was held in November last year.
Young people who were looking for the jobs attended the job fair with parents. And, job seekers parents were assisting in filling the application form or running around the counters. One bank’s retired senior manager Chandrakanta accompanied his son. She said,“There are so many counters and one has to fill separate form for each job. While I am selecting companies for him, he is standing in the queue.”
