Date sheet for SOL students of Delhi University has been released, irrespective of any information on syllabi as the university has not even released their study material so far.
The date sheet states that the examinations will be conducted in May. However, students were waiting for notifications regarding the lecturers. Many students gathered at the office of executive director (SOL), H C Pokhriyal on Monday seeking solution to the problem.
Harish Gautam, second-year BA (prog) SOL student opined, “The move will inevitably lead to mass failure and then mass drop out of students. This amounts to a blatant discrimination against those students who already are facing marginalisation in terms of educational opportunities.” He further said, “The executive director met us and promised to take corrective measures immediately. However, the damage has been already been done and it would affect the results of students badly.” He added, “The authorities had promised to take all remedial measures then as well but nothing has happened so far.”
