Seventeen-year-old Shreyas Mishra from Delhi has achieved a perfect 100 percentile in Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main) 2026 Session 1, emerging as one of the 12 toppers nationwide.
Currently staying in a paying guest accommodation in Punjabi Bagh, away from his parents in Greater Noida, Shreyas described the achievement as “completely unexpected.” He began preparing seriously two years ago after moving to Delhi to focus on his engineering entrance journey.
A student of Kulachi Hansraj Model School, he is set to appear for his board examinations shortly.
Shreyas is the only candidate from Delhi among the 12 students who scored a perfect percentile. The remaining toppers are from Rajasthan, Bihar, Odisha, and Haryana.
Rather than tracking study hours, he prioritised conceptual clarity and in-depth coverage of topics. His study routine varied between five to eleven hours a day, intensifying after his pre-board examinations. The final six weeks were dedicated to mock tests, detailed performance analysis, and doubt resolution.
To maintain balance, he incorporated breaks into his schedule, listening to classical music, playing cricket, and limiting social media usage to avoid burnout.
Over 13 lakh candidates appeared for Session 1 of JEE Main 2026.
