The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced its internship programme for 2025, offering undergraduate and postgraduate students an opportunity to work in various laboratories and projects. Interested candidates must identify a DRDO laboratory or establishment that aligns with their academic background and apply through their respective universities or colleges. Selection will be subject to available slots and the discretion of the concerned Lab Director.
Eligible candidates include students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in engineering and general sciences. Applicants must be between 19 and 28 years of age.
An official DRDO statement clarifies, “Interns will be permitted access only to unclassified areas of DRDO Labs/Establishments. DRDO will in no way be obliged to offer employment to students on completion of their training.” The training duration varies from four weeks to six months, depending on the course and approval from the Lab Director.
