The Defence Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE), one of the premier laboratories under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has announced a six-month paid internship opportunity for students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and science.
The programme is designed to give students practical experience in advanced research areas, including defence geoinformatics and related fields.

DRDO INTERNSHIP DETAILS AND DURATION
The internship will commence on January 1, 2026, and will span six months. Selected students are required to submit a progress report after three months and a final project report at the end of six months. Upon successful completion and submission of the project report, DGRE will issue an official certificate of internship.
The internship requires a minimum commitment of 15 working days per month, and the stipend will be paid in two instalments: one after three months and the final instalment upon completion of the programme.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Students must meet the following criteria to apply:
- Pursuing full-time undergraduate or postgraduate courses in engineering or science from a recognised Indian University/Institute.
- Minimum 75 percent marks or 7.5 CGPA in all previous semesters.
- Maximum age limit: 28 years.
Selection will be based on the academic performance (CGPA/percentage) and an online or telephonic interview, followed by verification of documents.
