Delhi University is likely to hold online tests for nine undergraduate courses in May. This also includes the 5-year flagship Journalism course at the Delhi School of Journalism (DSJ). The University has not yet decided on a registration date for these online courses, yet.
“A committee formed to discuss the online entrance exams is yet to finalize the exact dates, but it is likely that it will happen around May-end,” said a DU official.
In the previous year, DSJ conducted tests for Hindi and English journalism in 18 centres across the country but in August. This year, it is likely to come much earlier. The entrances at the 18 centres will still be conducted this year.
If a student is looking for admission to Delhi University then these are the courses they should watch out for: Bachelor of management studies (BMS), BA business economics, Bachelor of business administration (financial investment analysis), Bachelor of science in physical education health education & sports, BA(H) multimedia and mass communication, B.Tech (information technology and mathematical innovations), BA (H) music, Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed).
The online registrations for these courses will be different from the other courses, for which admission is based on cut offs that depend on the class 12th board marks. These are courses that do not have high cutoffs and it is going to make the entrance and admission process for students throughout the country much easier.
There is a struggle among students these days to get good marks so that they can make it into Delhi University colleges. A lot of students, even after doing their best, are unable to achieve those numbers. There is no need to feel disheartened because of the many online options available now to those students. Many of them who were probably trying to make it can get into one of the courses mentioned above.
