Traditional methods do not have the ability to raise interest & curiosity of students in subjects. Also, it contains limited resources to project knowledge about any topic of interest. When the traditional teaching & learning gets the digital edge, it opens a vast avenues of knowledge resources along with different source of interest.
Technology laced content not only have theoretical explanations but also contains graphics, videos, charts & graphs, 3D images & many more resources for a diversified understanding of any subject. It raises the curiosity level of students followed with interesting solutions for a deep learning and insight of topics.
How the Indian education sector evolved in the last 70 years?
In past 70 years, education has transformed drastically. Since independence, the government’s policies favoured an education system that would help in nation building. This led to the establishment of the IITs, AIIMS and other eminent institutes of learning. But the teaching & learning process was mostly focussed on books, memorizing numbers & going stifle.
They were bounded by textbook learning rather than experience-based learning. In 21st Century, education was integrated with technology which made the learning interactive & fun. Blended system of education provides different avenues of understanding the concept helping to develop critical thinking & problem-solving skills in the learner. The digital learning has converted teachers into facilitators who provide learner all possible resources. Thus the 21st century education system is more learner-centric.
