The US higher education sector is bringing education fairs to cities across India, starting in Hyderabad on August 16th and concluding in New Delhi on August 25th. The 10-day event, EducationUSA Fairs, organised by the US Embassy, aims to provide students with opportunities to explore higher education options in the United States.
The fairs offer prospective students a chance to explore undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in the US. Over 80 accredited American universities and colleges will be represented. To meet with university representatives and learn more about studying in the US, students are encouraged to register for the free events in advance.
Eric Garcetti, the US Ambassador to India, highlighted the significance of these fairs, saying, “The EducationUSA fairs provide a great chance to explore the outstanding educational opportunities available in the United States. Whether your interest lies in science, technology, engineering, arts, or business, there is a program to help you achieve your goals.”
He added, “These fairs offer students invaluable opportunities to connect with a wide array of U.S. colleges and universities. From admissions criteria and scholarships to campus life and academic programs, students and their families will receive comprehensive information to help them achieve their U.S. education goals.”
The EducationUSA Fairs will tour eight Indian cities from August 16 to 25. The events will take place in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai, and New Delhi. Each city will host a fair at a different hotel with specific timings.
EducationUSA is a global network sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with over 430 advising centres worldwide. India has six EducationUSA advising centres located in Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.
