As India continues to establish itself as a global leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology, a recent survey from the Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC) reveals that 70% of professionals are actively seeking to upskill. Despite this, the Indian market faces a 51% talent gap in AI and Machine Learning (ML), with only 416,000 professionals available to meet the demand for 629,000, according to the Nasscom State of Data Science & AI Skills in India 2023 report.
In response to this shortage, Emeritus has launched three advanced technical certificate programmes in collaboration with IITM Pravartak (IIT Madras), E&ICT Academy IIT Guwahati, and IBM. These programmes are designed to equip professionals with the skills needed to lead in high-growth areas of AI and ML.
The courses include the Advanced Certification Programme in Data Science and Business Analytics with Generative AI, offering a curriculum infused with tools like ChatGPT-4 to solve real-world challenges. The Advanced Certificate Programme in Applied AI and ML, developed by IITM Pravartak, provides hands-on experience with over 35 tools and includes masterclasses from IIT Madras faculty.
“These programmes are crucial to addressing the talent gap and empowering professionals to lead the AI revolution,” said Avnish Singhal, EVP at Emeritus. This initiative supports India’s ongoing journey to become a hub for technological innovation.
