Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has broadened its academic spectrum by introducing psychology and geoinformatics courses, aligning with evolving industry demands and interdisciplinary learning.
The School of Liberal Arts at GGSIPU has added psychology as the fourth major discipline within its five-year BA-MA Liberal Arts Programme, joining history, political science, and sociology. Designed under the National Education Policy (NEP), this programme aims to equip students with a deep understanding of human behaviour, enhancing their ability to address contemporary mental health and societal challenges.
Simultaneously, the University School of Environment Management (USEM) has launched a two-year MSc in Applied Geoinformatics, commencing from the 2025-26 academic session. This programme will prepare students for careers in geospatial technologies, a field increasingly relevant for environmental management, urban planning, and disaster mitigation. Admission will be based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and CET scores, alongside merit in qualifying examinations.
Furthermore, USEM has also begun admissions for its BSc in Environmental Science programme. Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Science) with a minimum of 50 per cent marks for the general category and 45 per cent for SC/ST applicants.
With these new additions, GGSIPU continues to enhance its curriculum, fostering academic excellence and industry relevance.
