HPCL is all set to launch a cylinder of weight 2 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg for cooking gas. It’s a new lighter; colourful and easy-to-use LPG gas cylinder will soon make its way into your kitchen.
This lighter version is safer than the metallic cylinder. Metallic cylinder weighs around 14.2 kg. To get these new cylinders, the consumers will have to return old cylinders and bear some extra cost, estimated to be around Rs 1,000.
HPCL got approval from the ministry of petroleum and natural gas to launch the fiber-made containers, which will guarantee fire security as they don’t explode event when immersed by flame because of the fiberglass innovation. The chambers would be erosion proof, UV secured and translucent in nature, which will enable clients to see the measure of LPG in the cylinders. The best striking component of the new cylinders will be its expanded security which includes that will guarantee a lesser number of cylinder mishaps.
The Mumbai based headquartered oil marketing company started delivery of new cylinders through a pilot project in Ahmedabad and Pune but soon it will be available across India.
According to reports, the new cylinder is a part of the (PMUY) Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana initiative, under which the government wants to improve quality and safety to LPG consumers.
