The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS PO Mains Result 2025 on its official portal, ibps.in. Candidates who took the Probationary Officer (PO) Mains Examination on October 12, 2025, can view their result status for the CRP-PO/MT-XV recruitment cycle.
In addition to the results, IBPS has provided both section-wise and overall scores, enabling candidates to evaluate their performance comprehensively. Those who qualify in the mains will proceed to the group discussion and interview round, which serves as the final stage of the selection process. Last year, IBPS PO Mains exam was held on November 30, and the result was declared on January 31.

The IBPS PO Mains scorecard will be available for download until December 7, 2025. Candidates are advised to secure a copy within this period, as the scorecard will be required during the group discussion and interview rounds of the recruitment process.
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of the online main examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for the personality test and interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided, and candidates will be shortlisted for an interview.
IBPS PO Interview Round Process & Weightage
Candidates who qualified in the Mains examination will be invited for a personal interview conducted by IBPS in collaboration with participating banks. During the interview, candidates will be evaluated on key parameters such as:
–Banking awareness
–Communication skills
–Personality and confidence
–Situational understanding
The interview carries a total of 100 marks. To qualify, candidates from the General category must secure at least 40 per cent marks, while those belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories need a minimum of 35 per cent marks.
Following the interview, IBPS prepares a final merit list using a weightage system, where the Mains examination accounts for 80 per cent, and the interview accounts for 20 per cent. Based on this merit list, candidates are provisionally allotted to banks, after which document verification is carried out to confirm their eligibility and finalise the selection.
IBPS PO Pay Scale for qualified candidates
For the position of a Public Bank Probationary Officer (PO), the starting pay for a Public Bank PO ranges from Rs 52,000 to Rs 55,000, along with incentives and benefits such as allowances, special allowances, house rent allowance (HRA), and other perks. Over time, this salary is expected to increase as candidates are promoted.
