ICFAI School of Architecture (ISArch), a constituent of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Deemed to be University, Hyderabad has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the prestigious Boston Architectural College of Massachusetts, USA on April 13, 2023. The MoU will enable both institutions to collaborate and exchange Academic and Research activities, which include Joint Educational Programs and Projects, Exchange of Faculty, Administrative Staff and Scholars, Exchange of Materials, Publications and Information, Joint organization of Seminars, Workshops, Studios and Conferences.
The MoU exchange event was convened by Prof. Mohammad Munavar Pasha, Principal, ICFAI School of Architecture. In his address, Dr. L.S. Ganesh, Vice Chancellor, mentioned that this MoU between Boston Architectural College (BAC) and ICFAI School of Architecture (ISArch) will be greatly beneficial for both the institutes to create solutions in the areas of sustainable development. Dr. S. Vijayalakshmi, Registrar stressed that women play a vital role in space management. She also suggested how further research fields can be developed in water management in future.
Dr. Mahesh Das, President, BAC said that he was impressed by the existing academic and research environment at ISArch, which he observed while interacting with students and faculty of ISArch earlier in the day. He said that he will be looking forward to have a great collaboration between the MoU partners in the form of various exchange programs involving students and faculties from both institutions. He also presented his vision and the history and pedagogy of BAC during the meeting. He mentioned that BAC is like a great Banyan Tree- with a large canopy descending down to have collaborative engagements with various new institutions.
The MoU exchange ceremony was held in the presence of Dr. Mahesh Das, President, Boston Architectural College, Dr. L.S. Ganesh, Vice Chancellor, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Dr. S. Vijayalakshmi, Registrar, Dr. K.L. Narayana, Director, IcfaiTech, Prof. Mohammad Munavar Pasha, Principal, ICFAI School of Architecture, Ar. Venkata Ramana, Professor and Design Chair, ICFAI School of Architecture and other directors, deans and faculty members of the University. The ceremony concluded with the formal exchange of MoU documents between the Registrar, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education and the President, BAC.
