The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar has launched its inaugural Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme, tailored to equip working professionals with leadership, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making skills.
This two-year blended-learning programme integrates global insights with local business relevance, fostering innovation, conflict resolution, and effective communication. It is designed to help professionals navigate complex business environments and drive organisational transformation.
The global executive education sector, valued at $42.5 billion in 2023, is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.7%, reaching $98.6 billion by 2030. The increasing demand for leadership skills, technological adaptability, and global business strategies is driving this expansion. The Future of Jobs Report 2023 anticipates that 23% of existing job roles will transform within five years, leading to 69 million new positions worldwide.
The EMBA programme at IIM Amritsar is structured into two phases. The first year focuses on core management subjects such as entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, strategy, organisational behaviour, and operations. The second year delves into advanced topics, including security analysis, portfolio management, and business intelligence, along with integrated field projects and capstone simulations.
Participants will engage in three campus immersions and benefit from a cutting-edge digital learning platform. The curriculum incorporates case studies, role plays, simulations, and project-based learning, ensuring a practical, industry-relevant experience.
The programme welcomes professionals from diverse sectors, including IT, HR, banking, manufacturing, consulting, and supply chain management. Upon completion, participants will gain IIM Amritsar alumni status, enhancing their professional network and career prospects.
