The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) hosted the sixth edition of its annual book donation programme, donating more than 17,500 books worth ₹1.05 crore to 35 colleges across 11 districts in Kerala.
Part of IIMK’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the event drew over 200 students and faculty members from the recipient institutions, according to a press release.

Each college received around 500 books valued at approximately ₹3 lakh, covering a broad range of academic disciplines such as economics, management, accounting, commerce, marketing, operations research, quantitative methods, organisational behaviour, human resource management, business ethics, information technology, and literature. The books were carefully selected by IIMK faculty and donated by students, under the coordination of Nalanda – The Library and Information Centre at IIMK.
Professor Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIMK and the driving force behind this initiative, presided over the event. The programme, launched in 2011, reflects the institute’s sustained commitment to educational outreach and knowledge sharing.
