Designed to nurture world-class scholars, this fully funded four-year doctoral programme offers an intensive research-driven curriculum across multiple disciplines. It includes three structured phases: Fundamentals of Management, Specialisation, and Doctoral Dissertation. Research opportunities span across Economics & Public Policy, Finance & Accounts, HRM & Organisational Behaviour, Humanities & Liberal Arts, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations & Quantitative Techniques, and Strategy & Entrepreneurship.
Highlighting the institute’s commitment to academic excellence, Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, Director, IIM Raipur, stated, “Our PhD programme provides a strong platform for aspiring researchers to contribute meaningfully to management thought and practice. The programme includes a monthly stipend of ₹50,000 for the first two years and ₹55,000 thereafter, along with a ₹2,00,000 grant for national and international conferences. Additional benefits include a contingency grant and ₹50,000 for research resources.
Candidates with valid GATE, GRE, GMAT, JRF (UGC/CSIR), UGC NET, CAT (from July 1, 2023), or a Master’s/PGP from IIMs with at least 55% marks are eligible. Graduates with CA/ICWA and a degree, CS with B.Com (60% min.), a 4-year B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch (min. 6.5 CGPA), or a 5-year Integrated Master’s (min. 60%) can also apply.
