IIM Sambalpur has revealed a significant change in its admission process for the 2025-26 academic year, aiming for a more personalized and flexible approach. Starting next year, the institute will independently conduct its admission process for the flagship MBA Programme and the newly introduced MBA in Business Analytics (MBA-BA), which offers a dual-degree option in collaboration with an international institution.
The revamped admission procedure will focus on a holistic evaluation, offering direct interactions with candidates. Applicants will be able to choose between online or offline interviews, ensuring flexibility for candidates from various locations. This decision follows IIM Sambalpur’s commitment to enhancing the candidate experience through individualized assessments.
The admissions will be based on multiple factors, including CAT 2024 scores, academic records, professional experience, and gender diversity. Both MBA and MBA-BA applicants will undergo the same admission process, streamlining the experience for shortlisted candidates.
Key Features of the Admission Process:
Flexible Interview Formats: Candidates can attend interviews either online or offline at IIM Sambalpur’s main or Delhi campuses.
Simultaneous Admissions: The same process applies to both MBA and MBA-BA programmes.
Personalized Interactions: Direct communication between IIM Sambalpur and candidates ensures a more thorough evaluation.
The admission timeline is as follows: Candidates shortlisted in the first round will be notified by January 10, 2025, and must register by January 25, 2025. The personal interviews will take place between March 3, 2025, and April 18, 2025. Online interviews will be held throughout the period, while offline interviews at the campuses will have specific dates announced soon. The first merit list will be announced on May 10, 2025, with additional lists released as needed until all seats are filled.
