Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) marked its 60th convocation with significant announcements, including the launch of its first international campus in Dubai, scheduled to open in September 2025. This milestone makes IIMA the first among Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) to establish a global footprint.
The event at Louis Kahn Plaza also featured the launch of the Madan Mohanka Centre of Excellence in Case Method of Learning, backed by IIMA alumnus Madan Mohanka. The centre aims to enhance the case study method of instruction, a hallmark of IIMA’s pedagogy.
Degrees were conferred upon over 1,200 students across four programmes. Among them, 22 scholars graduated from the Doctoral Programme in Management (PhD), 405 from the MBA-PGP, 45 from the MBA-FABM, and 158 from the MBA-PGPX. Five students received gold medals for academic excellence.
In a strategic move, IIMA partnered with FPSB India to introduce an executive programme in financial planning and investment advisory services. The one-year course will commence in September 2025, catering to finance professionals.
