IIT Bombay has announced the launch of its e-Postgraduate Diploma in E-mobility, a pioneering 18-month programme designed for industry professionals. The course, set to commence in March 2025, will be delivered by IIT Bombay’s esteemed faculty in partnership with EdTech leader Great Learning. Graduates will enjoy the privilege of alumni status and a graduation ceremony on campus.
Speaking at the launch, Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director of IIT Bombay, remarked, “The e-Postgraduate Diploma in E-mobility by the C1973 EV Power Train Lab marks a key milestone in IIT Bombay’s commitment to advanced education. Our industry collaborations bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application, driving innovation in experiential learning.”
The curriculum targets early- and mid-career professionals, scientists, R&D specialists, entrepreneurs, academicians, and recent graduates. It covers critical aspects of electric vehicle technology, including battery systems, electrical drives, power electronics, and EV design. Participants will benefit from live interactive sessions and hands-on projects such as vehicle sub-system modelling, battery degradation analysis, and EV charger control.

Eligibility requires a B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in a relevant engineering field, with postgraduate candidates also encouraged to apply.
