IIT – Bombay two professors have been nominated as the fellowship of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE). Prof. Supratik Chakraborty from Computer Science & Prof. D Manjunath from Electrical Engineering has been selected for this distinguished honour.
INAE tribute Indian and Foreign experts who are chosen by “peer” panels in acknowledgement of their own accomplishments in engineering which are of extraordinary merits and creating new fields of innovation and technology. Around 50 Fellows from Academia, Research and Development, Industry and different associations might be chosen every year from the application got from Fellows of INAE.
The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), founded in 1987 comprises India’s most distinguished engineers, engineer-scientists and technologists covering the entire spectrum of engineering disciplines. It is an apex body and promotes the practice of engineering & technology and the related sciences for their application to solving problems of national importance.
