There was a major shift in place in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2019 when nine year old IIT Indore took over the recently chosen Institute of Eminence (IoE) by the Centre IIT Mumbai.
IIT Indore made an impressive debut as India’s second highest-ranked university and a global top 400 institution, whereas IIT Bombay has slipped from 351-400 band to 401-500 in the rankings.
On the other hand Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore continues to rein the country by retaining its position in the 251-300 band.
