IIT Kanpur is a leading institution for advanced technological education and engineering research which was established in 1959. List of all the IIT Kanpur scholarships:
1. Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarships
Students enrolled in 4-year, 5-year, or 2-year M.Sc. undergraduate (UG) programs are eligible for the MCM scholarship. To receive the full scholarship, which includes a freeship and pocket allowance, a student must have a Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or higher.
2. Bright Mind Scholarship
This scholarship will offer you a total of Rs. 3 lakh per student annually, covering all undergraduate expenses. To qualify, students must rank within the top 100 in the JEE Advanced exams.
3. Free Basic Mess Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students from the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories whose annual parental income is less than Rs 4.5 lakhs.
4. INSPIRE Scholarships
The Department of Science and Technology (DST) offers Scholarships for Higher Education (SHE), known as INSPIRE-SHE Scholarships. This scholarship is for students pursuing undergraduate programs in natural and basic sciences.
5. Sports Scholarships
This scholarship is given to students who excel in sports at Inter-IIT and other external competitions. Under this, up to 20 scholarships are granted annually, with recipients receiving Rs 1,000 per month for 9 months.
