Sub-head – PRAYAS 3.0 emphasizes hands-on, project-based learning designed to equip participants with practical skills and real-world technological expertise.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has announced the third edition of its flagship initiative — PRAYAS 3.0 (Promoting and Accelerating Young and Aspiring Students) — a one-month residential training program focused on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Organized by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at IIT Mandi, the program is scheduled to begin on June 16, 2025, and will be held on the institute’s scenic Himachal Pradesh campus.
PRAYAS 3.0 emphasizes hands-on, project-based learning designed to equip participants with practical skills and real-world technological expertise. The curriculum will cover core areas such as embedded systems, machine learning, computer vision, and IoT integration. Students will work on capstone projects, receive mentorship from IIT Mandi faculty, and gain exposure to tools and platforms like Arduino, Python, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), and YOLO.
“PRAYAS 3.0 reflects IIT Mandi’s commitment to nurturing future-ready talent through immersive, experiential learning,” said Dr. Tushar Jain, Head of the Centre for Continuing Education.
The program is open to undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students, as well as engineering diploma holders. Participants will receive a certificate of completion from IIT Mandi. The course fee is Rs 62,400, which includes food and accommodation.
With a focus on preparing students for the evolving tech landscape, PRAYAS 3.0 aims to foster innovation and bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands.
