The registration process for GATE 2025 was initially scheduled to commence on August 24. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the start date was postponed. Despite the change in the registration timeline, the deadline for completing the registration is set for September 26, 2024. Exam Details
The GATE 2025 examination is scheduled to take place from February 1 to 16, 2025, with results expected to be announced on March 19, 2025. This year, the exam will not have international centres, so international candidates must select an exam centre within India.
Candidates are permitted to choose up to three cities from the list provided in the GATE brochure, with all selections needing to be from the same GATE zone. Additionally, candidates have until November 6, 2024, to make changes to their category, paper, examination city, or personal details, subject to additional fees.
Exam Format
GATE 2025 will be conducted as a computer-based test featuring three types of questions:
1. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): Each question has four options, with only one correct answer.
2. Multiple Select Questions (MSQ): These questions may have one or more correct answers among four options.
3. Numerical Answer Type (NAT): Candidates will need to input their answers using a virtual keypad. A virtual calculator will be provided for use during the exam.
