Rann Utsav
This is taking place at Great Rann of Kutch salt desert, Dhordo, Gujarat. You can enjoy the Kutch’s white salt desert; the Rann Utsav showcases the region’s culture and heritage. These include folk dances and music, adventure sports, handicrafts, food stalls, and excursions to surrounding destinations. It is ongoing until February 20, 2019.
Ardh Kumbh Mela
It is taking place at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh from January 14 to March 4, 2019. India’s famous Kumbh Mela is considered the biggest religious gathering in the world and has been included on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list.
The Kochi-Muzhiris Biennale
It is taking place at Kochi, Kerala until March 29, 2019. This is the fourth edition of the Kochi-Muzhiris Biennale. This festival is the biggest exhibition and contemporary arts festival in Asia.
Lodhi Art Festival
It is taking place at Khanna Market and Meher Chand Market, Lodhi Colony, Delhi from February 1 to March 15, 2019. This third edition of the festival will add 20 new murals that celebrate a host of causes including LGBTQ rights to women’s empowerment.
Pariyanampetta Pooram
It is taking place at Pariyanampetta Bhagavathy temple, Kattukulam, Palakkad district of Kerala from February 13-19, 2019. This festival falls on the last day of the seven-day festival at Pariyanampetta Bhagavathy temple. It features Kalamezhuthu Pattu (a ritual in which images of goddesses are drawn on the floor using colored powder) and a procession of decorated elephants.
