The entire faculty at ISH, including Founder & CEO Dilip Puri, recently successfully completed the Qualified Learning Facilitator training programmedelivered at their academic certification institute, Écolehôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), Switzerland.
The QLF programme, tailor-made by Écolehôtelière de Lausanne, is based on its 125 years of experience in training hospitality professionals. EHL provides guidance and support to a select group of hospitality or hotel management schools worldwide and assists themto reach a level of quality that matches EHL’s academic standards. Through their consulting entity, Lausanne Hospitality Consulting (LHC), EHL has developed a network of certified schools through which they transfer knowledge of international hospitality industry standards and trends, management education methods and the latest learning technology with the vision of sharing Swiss hospitality education excellence around the world.
This certificationwill enable the ISH facultyto better impart an andragogical model of education to students and enhance their learning experience holistically. The unique curriculum of this course provides knowledge on principles, advantages and critical issues in adult learning, instructional design and strategies, as well as assessment of adult education along with traditional teaching methods.Faculty membersare equipped with various techniques to understand the need of young adults and to motivate them to share their professional experiences.This further reinforces the institute’s approach to education and aim to create an effective learning environment for today’s students and introduce them to a learning environment that treats them as adult students and young professionals.
