Educational institutions must not compromise on quality, said Alok Prakash Mittal, Member-Secretary, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on 28 October, 2018.
Delivering the 31st convocation speech at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE), he said that though many educational institutions face pressure to graduate maximum number of students studying in their institutions, they should not do so by compromising on quality.
Educational institutions must think that they are competing with the best in the world and strive to maintain the highest quality, he said.
He emphasized the requirement of all institutions to keep themselves updated on technological innovations, “Technology is getting updated every minute. It is important that educational institutions do not miss out on these developments,” he said.

A total of 21 persons was awarded Ph. D. Another 1,139 students who graduated from different branches of engineering, architecture, and arts and science courses also got their degrees. This included 49 speech and hearing impaired students.
