The University Grants Commission (UGC) has opened applications for the Ishan Uday Scholarship, specifically for students from the North Eastern Region (NER). The application process is available on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), and students can apply until October 31.
The scholarship is aimed at students who have completed their Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a school within the NER, recognized by a valid Board of Education. Only those who have secured admission in the first year of an undergraduate (UG) degree program through regular or full-time mode are eligible to apply.
This scholarship supports students pursuing recognized UG degree programs as specified by UGC. For students enrolled in integrated or dual degree programs, the scholarship applies only to the undergraduate component. The family’s annual income should not exceed Rs 4.50 lakh to qualify for the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria: Students who previously received the Ishan Uday Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year can apply for renewal, provided they meet the eligibility criteria for the 2024-2025 academic year. The deadline for renewal applications is also October 31.
