The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced more than 100 job openings across various roles, including Scientist/Engineer, Radiographer, Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, Technician, and others. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official portals — isro.gov.in or shar.gov.in — until 14 November 2025.
For the position of Scientist/Engineer, the pay scale ranges between ₹56,100 and ₹1,77,500 (Level 10). Selected candidates will be posted at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), India’s spaceport located near Chennai.
Vacancy Details and Reservation
Apart from scientific roles, ISRO is also offering posts such as Technician, Draughtsman, Nurse, and Library Assistant, with salaries ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100. The recruitment includes reserved vacancies under various categories — Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen.
Eligibility, Fee and Selection Process
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, with the upper age limit varying based on the role. An application fee of ₹750 is applicable; however, it will be refunded in full to women, SC/ST/PwBD candidates, and Ex-Servicemen during the written test, while others will receive ₹500 back.
Selection will be based on a written examination and interview, each carrying equal weightage for Scientist/Engineer roles. For technical positions, a skill test will replace the interview. Eligible candidates will be informed of examination and interview schedules via their registered email IDs.
