This initiative aims to empower up to 2.5 million learners across 15,000 ITIs nationwide, providing them with essential future skills like digital literacy, environmentally conscious thinking, problem-solving, critical thinking, and workplace readiness, among others.
Aakash Sethi, CEO of Quest Alliance, stated that the goal behind crafting the curriculum was to offer learners a comprehensive grasp of AI, including its history and principles, as well as familiarity with different types of AI.
He said that learners can explore the use of AI and Generative AI tools in creating various digital content and in education. They also ensure that learners understand and engage in discussions about the ethical considerations and responsible use of AI.
He further emphasized that by providing youth with skills essential for the future, they not only enable them to succeed in a progressively intricate environment but also cultivate a community of lifelong learners and innovative problem-solvers.
In the presence of Union Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DGT and FRSN was exchanged. Mr. Pradhan remarked said that training is crucial for newcomers to the job market, and for those already employed, reskilling and upskilling are vital.
He expressed his satisfaction that all the MoUs incorporate a technological component, which is essential for accelerating progress and plays a pivotal role in communication and networking. He said that the current era is one of disruption. Those who sees it and tries to understand this fact will remain relevant.
The renewed MoU outlines a comprehensive framework for collaboration, focusing on four main areas: curriculum and assessment to enhance employability skills, trainer development, initiatives concerning women and work, and the integration of future-oriented skills such as Green and AI.
