Online application for MBBS admissions into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) will close on April 12. The candidates, who wish to pursue a career in the fields of medical science, can register online for the entrance exam through the official website jipmer.edu.in.
Interested candidates should visit the official website to register themselves for the online exam that will be held in two shifts on June 2. The first shift exam will be held in the morning and the second shift exam will be held in the evening. After the successful registration of the candidates, they will be issued admit cards for JIPMER MBBS entrance exam. The admit card will be released on May 20 online at the official website of the institute.
The entrance exam for JIPMER MBBS admission is held for two institutes. The first institute is JIPMER Puducherry and the second institute is JIPMER Karaikal. Total number of seats available for MBBS admission is 200. Out of these 200 seats, 150 seats are available under JIPMER Puducherry and the rest is available with JIPMER Karaikal.
To be eligible for the JIPMER MBBS entrance exam, the candidates should be at least of 17 years. However, there is no upper age limit for the candidates. Apart from that, the candidates must have passed class 12 exam with PCB and English subjects individually and must have at least 50 percent marks in PCB taken together. The students who have studied Biotech are also eligible for the exam.
The merit list of JIPMER MBBS exam will be released by June 21. The firstcounseling will be held from June 26 to 28 June while the second counseling will be on July 24. The commencement of the course will be from July 3.
