Jawaharlal Nehru University is set to close the application process for its MBA programme for the 2026–27 academic session on March 31. The programme is offered through the Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship, and candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online via the official admission portal.
The registration process, which began on February 10, is open to candidates who have appeared for the Common Admission Test 2025. Applicants are required to submit their CAT registration number and score as part of the application.
Application Process
Candidates must first complete the registration process before filling out the application form. The steps include entering personal and academic details, uploading scanned copies of a photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format, and paying the application fee through the online payment gateway.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution, with a minimum duration of three years after Class 12 (10+2). The minimum required marks are:
- 50% for General, OBC (NCL), and EWS categories
- 45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates
Final-year students and those awaiting results are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the criteria at the time of admission.
Admission Process
Admission will be based on performance in CAT 2025, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. Shortlisting for GD and PI will be conducted based on CAT scores, with the number of shortlisted candidates being at least seven times the number of available seats in each category.
The final selection will be determined using the following weightage:
- CAT score: 70%
- Group Discussion: 10%
- Personal Interview: 20%
For foreign nationals, a valid GMAT score (minimum 500) along with a bachelor’s degree is required.
Seats and Reservation
The total intake for the MBA programme is 75 seats. Reservation policies will be implemented in accordance with Government of India norms. The university has clarified that no deprivation points will be applied for this programme.
Application Fee
The application fee is:
- Rs 2,000 for General, EWS, and OBC (NCL) candidates
- Rs 1,000 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates
